About the event

Our fully qualified BSAC Snorkel Instructors will cover basic snorkelling techniques followed by a snorkel around Wembury's famous rocky reefs, searching for and identifying underwater marine life. We always follow our Seashore Code ethos of enjoying and respecting marine life with minimal disturbance.

Our snorkel safaris are suitable for beginners or more advanced snorkellers and we will try to split you into small groups accordingly. Full kit can be provided and is included in the cost, though we would encourage you to bring your own if possible, due to COVID-19.

Once you have booked we will send you a kit hire form to complete and return. Please note, changing time is included in the allocated event time, but please arrive a little early if you are borrowing a wetsuit from us.

Children must be 8 years+ to take part and all participants must be competent swimmers. Snorkelling in open water is an activity which requires general physical fitness and good health. Please contact us before booking if you/your child has a history of diabetes, epilepsy (blackouts), perforated eardrums, high blood pressure, or any lung/respiratory disorder, including previously testing positive for COVID-19. You will need to complete and sign a medical disclaimer to this effect before the event.

You will need to bring with you on the day:

· Snorkel kit (unless you are hiring from us)

· Beach shoes/wetsuit boots (not crocs)

· Swimming shorts/costumes & rash vest (if you have one)

· Towel

· Warm clothing for after snorkelling

· Snacks and drinks as necessary – there is a café on site which sells pasties, sandwiches etc.

· Any medication (please make staff aware)

Please note additional National Trust car parking charges apply at Wembury Beach.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

You will be eligible for a refund if you cancel more than 7 days before the event, but please note the Eventbrite booking fee will be deducted. Please email us if you wish to cancel.

Any cancellation made within 7 days of the event is not eligible for a refund. If the event is cancelled by us due to severe weather, we will offer you a full refund.
