Long-clawed Porcelain Crab
Scientific name: Pisidia longicornis
Size: Up to 1cm across the shell
Colour: Shades of red, orange, and brown, often with patches of white
Habitat: Rocky shores, under rocks
- Similar to the broad-clawed, this crab also feeds by filtering the water for food.
- These crabs are very hard to spot at first but, once you have your eye in, you’ll see them everywhere.
- Only three pairs of walking legs are easily visible as well as the claws, but a fifth pair of tiny appendages may be seen if looking closely.
