Learn more about identifying what can be seen from shore and at sea around the UK coast and how to report your sightings for conservation or become a MARINElife volunteer ship-based surveyor in your spare time.
Join MARINElife and Wembury Marine Centre at their training day to learn how to observe and identify whales, dolphins and seabirds together with data recording methods used for scientific research.
LOCATION: Wembury Marine Centre, Church Rd, Wembury,
Plymouth, PL9 0HP.
DATE & TIME: Saturday 19th October from 10.00 to 16.30.
COST: £45 for Wildlife Trust Members, £50 for non-members.
Please bring along your lunch, outdoor weather clothing and some writing materials.

The training will give you a thorough grounding in the diverse range of species we study, the methodologies we follow, and the part you can play in safeguarding their future.
Even if you do not plan to become a surveyor and get involved directly, this training course is designed as an excellent introduction to conducting marine mammal and seabird surveys that are of scientific value.
